The Air Jordan 11 72-10 pays tribute to the Michael Jordan’s 95/96 regular season record of 72 wins and only 10 losses. He also won another championship ring that year!
To commemorate the streak, Nike changed the inside tongue tag slightly to mention the 72-10 figure. Just like every other Air Jordan 11, these were highly anticipated and sold out immediately. I didn’t hear of any riots or violence this time, at least.
The shoes come in a pull out drawer style box like other recent 11s with a red plastic overlay when you open the box and the shoes underneath.
I definitely was in the mood for a new pair of 11s when I bought these. The sneaker looks great and goes with a lot of different outfits thanks to the mostly black colorway.
How Are The Materials?
The materials are really nice on the Air Jordan 11 72-10 – the tumbled leather is thick and soft. The patent leather is also nice with a slight sparkle to it.
Jordan brand is really taking this remastered thing seriously. Well, at least on this particular pair! At first glance of leaked pictures online, the clear sparkly patent with the tumbled leather underneath put me off, but in person it looks really nice! The leather is tumbled with hits of suede. What really gets me on these is the leather tongue. I don’t know why, but that just makes these look very classy in person. Honestly these might be my favorite non-OG colorway of 11s yet!
How Do They Fit?
The Air Jordan 11 72-10 fits true to size, and as with most 11s, going down a size might result in pinched toes. The patent doesn’t leave a lot of room for error, or a lot of room, period, so be mindful of this when selecting what size to wear. Also, 11s tend to be a tad stiff so don’t mind a slight break-in period with these. Over time, these should break in to be extremely comfortable in a solid way.
